Steven J. Picardi is the managing partner of the Picardi Law Firm, specializing in the representation of large self-insured employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1988 from Western Maryland College, and his Juris Doctorate in 1991 from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. After receiving his law degree Mr. Picardi moved to Denver and began practice as a workers’ compensation defense attorney. In 1993, he joined Kennedy & Christopher, P.C., specializing in workers’ compensation and medical malpractice defense litigation. On February 1, 1999, Mr. Picardi joined Glasman, Jaynes & Picardi, LLP, which became the Picardi Law Firm in October 2000. He and his staff of one research attorney and two paralegals continue to defend self-insured employers in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation. He is a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, the Colorado Self-Insurer’s Association, and the Colorado Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee. Mr. Picardi has lectured and written extensively on the subjects of workers’ compensation and legal ethics.
